Hollywood Studios

This park was my second favorite next to the Magic Kingdom. We were able to spend two days here and oh what fun we had! Be forewarned, there are a lot of pictures ahead!

First Day: We packed in A LOT of shows/parades this day. It was so hot that we opted to be under covered places for the majority of the day, which helped a ton. We caught the Indiana Jones show, the Beauty and the Beast show, the Little Mermaid show, the Block Party Bash parade, the High School Musical show, and the Fantasmic Show. We loved them but I think all of us agreed that the Beauty and the Beast one and Fantasmic took the cake. We also rode the new Toy Story ride and were instantly hooked. I think we rode twice that day and wanted to get it in one more time but the line got a bit longer towards the end. We hit the Star Tours ride and Jackson was completely obsessed with the store that the ride pops us out in!! I had to drag him out of there promising that we would return on our second day! We also did the Backlot tour, which was nice but not as fun as I thought it would be. By this time it was almost mid-afternoon and we all needed a good rest for our return that night. Luckily all of the kids took some sort of nap back at the hotel, which gave them enough energy to wait for the Fantasmic show to start that night! The wait was soooo long, but the show was so worth it. We opted for the 10:00 p.m showing and got super close seats and enjoyed the show without a big crowd. Needless to say, by the time our night was done we were exhausted!! On the Backlot Tour.

What Mikaela loves to do the most...performing in front of a crowd. I didn't think she'd go out but she didn't even miss a beat when the guy asked her to come and help:)

By Star Tours.

Day Two: The second time we returned to Hollywood Studios was during their Star Wars Weekend event. Oh was Jackson in heaven!! Apparently the entire weekend is devoted to Star Wars with the actual actors from the Star Wars Clone Wars cartoon in the park doing autograph sessions and photo ops throughout the park. There is also a big parade with those same actors and the Disney Characters dressed up as Star Wars characters. Despite having much of our day devoted to doing all the extra Star Wars things they had out that day, we did manage to hit more rides and more shows. Our favorites of that day (well besides all things Star Wars) the GM Race Track show and the Rocking Roller Coaster ride. Jared talked my brother and I into riding the roller coaster and I'm glad he did! It was so much fun! I'm not a roller coaster person, but this one was the best ever! After all of our events we ended our day fairly early and headed home for dinner and a good nights rest!

Okay, I have to say something about this pic. We saw that Darth Vader was going to being doing photo ops around the park but decided the wait was going to be way too long to deam it worth it. Well, it started to rain and so my brother, mom, Jackson, and I ducked in the Star Tours ride to get out of the storm. Well...when our ride was done Darth Vader was in the hallway!!! Apparently he was doing photo ops right outside, but when it started to rain they had him come insde to wait it out! The Disney attendant was so nice that he said it was okay if we wanted to do a quick picture before he had to go back out and you bet we jumped on that chance!!

Like I said we did do other things that weren't Star wars related:) We walked around the different city scenes and did quite a many pics with the Playhouse Disney characters. Below are just two pics from those events.

oh, my boys would be so jealous of the Star Wars things you got to do. How fun that you happened to be there on the day they had devoted to Star Wars! Glad you got the pic with Darth Vader, too. That was luck!
