Pomp and Circumstance

A big CONGRATULATIONS to my little bro Enrique who graduated last week from University of California, Davis!! What a great accomplishment!! Jared and I loaded up the kids last week and drove all night and made it for his graduation on Saturday. Enrique had two different graduation ceremonies and surprisingly the kids were great through all of them. It was a long day but a fun day at that:) It was great to be ther for him on such a special day.

Enrique right before University Commencement. This was at the bright hour of 8:00 a.m.!!
The pictures during commencement didn't come out so great so here are photos of directly afterward. Here is Kike with my mom, Jackson, and my littlest brother Alejandro.
Here's our dad with Kike, Jackson, and Alejandro. What a proud Papa.
And here is the rest of the clan. Jared is missing, but he's the one taking the shot. Can't ever get everyone in the photo!!
Here is Kike's second graduation ceremony. He was a part of a Chicano/Lation club that had there own separate graduation ceremony in the evening. This one was really fun. They had Aztec dancing in the beginning, all the graduates received a moment to speak, and then there was folklorico dancing in between the ceremony. Quite a difference compared to the mornings university commencement. Don't know if you can quite tell but in the picture below the Aztec dancers are right there in the front of the stage. Mikaela loved them so much she said she wanted to learn how to dance with feather hats and blow music through seashells:)
This is the end of the night. We made it!! Mikaela couldn't leave her Tio Kike and when he took off to celebrate with his friends for the evening she took it upon herself to take some of his stuff for him:) Doesn't she look cute!! One day Mikaela you'll be graduating from college too, and this is just a sneak peak at what you'll look like:)
