Napa and Sonoma: Part One

To finish off our trip in Cali, Jared and I left Jackson and Mikaela with my Mom and only took Alexis with us to spend a couple of days in Napa and Sonoma to celebrate our belated Wedding Anniversary. Our 7 year Wedding Anniversary was back in May, but it just so happen to land on the exact day we blessed Alexis. So long story short, we didn't really celebrate anything until this trip. The first day we got up there way late and so pretty much crashed once we got to the hotel. The next day we woke up and headed over to the Napa train station. Jared had booked us a three hour train ride aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train. It was so fun! We started off in the lounge cars and had appetizers. Then halfway through the ride we switched to the dining cars and had a yummy three-course gourmet lunch. Maybe I haven't been to enough really fancy places with Jared but they even came to clean up our bread crumbs! We stayed in the dining car for the remainder of the ride and enjoyed passing by all the vineyards on the way.

Alexis and I entering our lounge car. Aleixs was great on the ride. She was gracious enough to be awake for only 20 minutes of the ride and sleep the rest. It was quite nice for Jared and I!

We were one of the first people in the lounge car and got to enjoy the best seats in the house. They were super comfy seats, and believe me I've been on my fair share of train seats that haven't been great:)

This was our appetizer plate. The cheese and chicken were my favorite. Jared loved the hot pepper.

Here's Jared in the dining car. By the time lunch rolled around we were starving and enjoyed every bit.
