Cowgirl Day!

The week after Spring Break, all of the Kindergarteners learned all week long about Texas History. They learned to sing the Texas Song, learned about the state bird and the state flower, and many other Texas tidbits. I was shocked to see how early they start teaching Texas history here, but Mikaela loved learning all about it. Come Friday they were asked to dress like a Cowgirl/Cowboy and come with a stick horse for all their rodeo games. Mikaela was so excited and here she is before going to school!

That week was so crazy that to tell you the truth I had totally forgotten that she had to dress up. Thanks to our good friends bailing us out last minute, she had boots and a scarf that completed her outfit! She was so excited, can't you tell! And yes, I know her stick horse is a little lame, but the really cool one's we had were so used and abused that we actually had just thrown them away two weeks prior! So this is what Jared and I came up with last minute. She was happy regardless!

And of course these two had to get a picture in too!
