This past weekend was quite eventful. We loaded our kids up in the car and headed to CALIFORNIA!! My Dad turned 60 on the 24th and so we surprised him with a party at BJ's on the 20th. He had absolutely NO CLUE and was stunned for the entire night. The food and company were wonderful and we had a blast celebrating. We stayed up way too late that night and ate way too much food but it was worth it! Then on Sunday we gathered some friends and family and celebrated both my younger brother's 23rd birthday and Lexie's 1st birthday. Despite the windy and chilly weather the kids really enjoyed themselves and had fun breaking the pinata, eating cake, and watching Lex and Kike open up presents.

Sadly, Monday came way too soon and we loaded up the kids and came home. Every day was crammed full of fun and excitement. This is a pic of Mikaela on Monday about 10 minutes after we left my Mom's house. I think it's a perfect picture of how everyone felt by the time our weekend of fun was up!!

Thanks Mom, Dad, Kike, and everyone else involved in our weekend of fun. We were all very sad to leave, especially Mikaela. On Tuesday, when we were leaving Reno, Mikaela said she didn't want to come back to Utah, that we needed to turn around and go to California again. Oh if only it were that easy!!
