Harvest Festival 2008

Over the weekend of the 27th our neighboring city hosted a Harvest Festival downtown. Since it was such a beautiful day we thought we'd take the kids to it. There were bike riders and skateboarders doing tricks and mini-shows, there were tons of yummy food vendors (we opted for the caramel popcorn!), and tons of arts and crafts for the kids. They loved milling around, listening to the music, and seeing what else they could possibly do. We started off by having the kids paint tiles and then worked our way to sidewalk drawings and monster making. The kids also got to make magnets and get a ton of freebies from varying places. I think their favorite were the vampire teeth they received from the Dinosaur Park booth! We'll definitely go back next year!

Sidewalk drawing. Making monsters out of egg cartons.

We missed it! I always try to go to the Harvest Moon Festival with the kids but for some reason we never saw when it was this year. Looks like fun. BTW-- I love your new blog look. Did you do this one, too?
