Piglets

So this post is LONG overdue. Back in the beginning of March my friend Stephanie invited us over to one of her neighbors home to see the brand new piglets that had just been born. We were so excited to go and these are the pics of our fun ADVENTURE (notice the emphasis on ADVENTURE!!)

When we arrived it was great. The mother took us right on back to see the cute little piglets. I of course forgot my camera on my mad dash out of the house so I stole all these pics from Steph. This first pic isn't exactly the piglets we saw, but pretty darn close. They were, I must admit, this cute:)
After about 5 minutes, the ADVENTURE began. Mikaela and Lexie were obsessed with trying to touch the pig and piglets. The piglets I didn't mind so much...the PIG, yeah, that I wasn't to thrilled about. As I was trying to reason with them (why I don't even know) Lexie starts throwing one of her very powerful two year old tantrums! She tried to throw herself on the floor several times, climb the gates, and run away. Ahh, the joys of motherhood. After wrestling with her and trying to remain somewhat put together and sane around Stephanie's neighbor friend, I finally decided to just let her touch the mom pig. The next pics will explain what happened...

Lexie, excited to be let down.

Lexie, grabbing the mamma pig's tail!! YEAH TAIL!! AGHGHGH! Why did she have to go for the most contaminated/sickest/yuckiest portion of the pig I do not know!

Oh well, we really did have a great time seeing the pigs. Mikaela loved it and really enjoyed seeing the baby goats too. When we got back to Stephanie's we THOROUGHLY washed hands and I became normal again. This little outing just reinforced why I DON'T EVER take my kids to a petting zoo!

I believe that's Dr. Paul's piggy's. You say it's stephanie's neighbors. Funny thing is your new neighbors were in steph's house. (still can't get over what a small world it is) The pigs are sure cute!
