Easter Fun

We had a great time celebrating Easter this year. The kids really got into it and loved all the fun crafts they did at school and at home. I decided instead of doing a bunch of mini-posts about our Easter fun, I'd put it all together into one big long entry. So be warned...there are a lot of pics!

Thankfully Jacks had Spring Break over the Easter weekend. It was fun to have him home all day and we all needed a much break of waking up and getting at the door on time, so it was great. Of course my girls were always awake like clockwork by 7:30 a.m., but my dear Jacks rested peacfully until about 9:00 a.m. every morning! Oh the joy of being a young boy. At any rate, on his first day of Spring Break we dyed our Easter eggs. I bought a new kit this year that included colored sand to glue on the eggs and the kids loved it.

Don't they look so excited! Oh and my dear sweet boy, I love him to bits!! He looks so sweet in this pic.
More of the dyeing process.
The sand art fun!

Our finished products displayed in front of the YUMMY Easter tin that Jacks and Mickey's Memere sent to us for Easter. It was filled with different kinds of popcorn, peanuts, candy, pretzels...it was HEAVENLY! Oh and can you tell which egg I decorated? I know it's cheesy but I couldn't resist:)

Then on Saturday we headed up to visit our family up in Idaho Falls. It was so fun to see the cousins enjoy Easter together. And it was great to enjoy the sun. We had such beautiful weather! The Idaho Falls bunny hides the Easter baskets (our bunny here sets them out in front of the beds) and makes the kids look all over the house on Easter morning for them. My kids thought it was the funnest thing ever. I think we'll have to talk to our bunny and have him do it like that for next year! Jackson found his basket in the tent down in the playroom!
Mickey found her basket behind the mini rocking chairs in the living room.
And Lexie, well she just found candy and tried to dig in!
After the baskets were found all the kids headed outside for the egg hunt!

After our hunt we all suited up in our Easter best and headed to church. Don't they look so nice!
I could not get enough of how cut Lex looked and so I tried to take some good pics of her. It was quite a task...in all the pics she's always looking down! Here's the best one out of all of them!
And of course we had to try and get a decent family pic. Key word "TRY." Here's the best of what we got. In this one I had no idea Jacks was making such a goofy face! AGGH! Oh well, I guess that just documents really how he is.
We tried one more time and by then apparently it looks like Mikaela is having issues with her dress! And Lex refused to look up. Oh well, we tried!

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter like us! Until next year!

So very cute. I LOVE the girls dresses. Where did you get them. I looked all over for cute non-sleeveless dresses and yours by far are the cutest! Jackson is one handsome fellow. Our Easter pics of Brooklyn are very similar to yours of Alexis. They don't want to pose at this stage! You look beautiful as always. Glad you had a great Easter.
