Our Resident Gimp
Last Friday our dear sweet Jackson went in for his Kindergarten physical. Wow, can't believe how big he's gotten that I'm actually writing that:) Anyway, he was very excited because everything having to do with Kinder is so cool for him. All was well until the doc said her loving good bye and the nurse stepped in with 4 shots!! I thought Jackson's eyes were going to bug out of his face. We calmly asked him to get up on the table but he refused. Finally it took me (while still holding a crying/hungry Alexis) to pick him up and hold him down. I felt so bad for him because I can only imagine how much the shots hurt him. Well, here are pics of the aftermath of Jackson's side effect from the shots. No fever, no crankiness, just an apparent inability to walk! He gimped around the house for 3 days straight. That didn't slow him down much though and we thought he was funny every time we saw him hobble by. Way to be brave Jackson!! Oh and just for documentation sake, Jackson is no longer the itty bitty baby we once had. He now currently weighs 40 lbs (50% percentile!!) and stands at 42" tall (50% percentile!!) This is quite a feat seeing as that he was down in the 5th percentile up until apparently now:) Way to Grow!

Funny story! Your little peanut is becoming a (what's a bigger nut - cashew? macademia maybe?) It's crazy to look at the kindergarteners at my school and think that little Jackson is ready for that! How fun!
Poor guy! The same thing happened to Wally. He had to have three shots. By the time they got to the third, he managed to get a hand free and reached down and grabbed the needle and bent it and cut his leg with it! The nurse said she had never seen anything like it. That seems to be the affect Wally has on people. These poor little Kinder-dudes!
poor Jackson!
