Thanksgiving 2010

This year we had our very first authentic Texan Thanksgiving! We met up with a few of our friends and gathered together for Turkey, Brisket, and Pies, Pies, and more Pies! All in all there were 8 adults, 8 children, and two dogs! Packed house, but everyone ate to their hearts content and we all even went home with leftovers!

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the awesome spread we had, but our wonderful host Becky brought out cute Thanksgiving crafts for the kids and I made sure to snap some pics! They made Turkeys, fire pits, pilgrim hats, and anything else they could think of that resembled Thanksgiving out of cookies, frosting, and candies! So much fun!

Mickey + frosting = this fun pic!

I loved how precise Lexie was in all her creations. You would think with her spunky personality she would've put something together in seconds and then ran off. But no, she took her time and actually made a turkey and a pilgrim hat. Afterwards of course she kept coming back to the table to snag chocolates simply to eat :)

Can you believe out of all those kids Jackson was the only boy! Here he is amongs all the girls making his cookie crafts! He was actually the one that came up with the firepit idea! Pretty clever I think.

We had so much fun and can't wait 'till next year when we can do it all over again!
