Christmas Trains and Christmas Parties

The kids have had lots of fun this season with a plethora of Christmas gatherings. We started off the season by going to the city of Heath's Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony with a couple of friends. The local elementary school caroled, Santa came, there was hot chocolate and cookies, and a train! The kids loved the train the most!

Here's Mikaela with her friend Addie. Can you just see the excitement in Lexie's face?!?! Behind her is Jack and Jackson.

Here's a better picture of them in the caboose.

The following weekend we took the kids to Jared's work Christmas party. Instead of throwing an adult party they put on a children's Christmas party. It was a hit!
Here they are in line waiting to get in. Rudolph came out to greet everyone as we all waited.

Here they are on Santa's lap! Pretty decent pic I think! At least no one was crying!

The party continued as all the kids had the opportunity to go and get a toy from "Santa's Workshop." Mikaela was in LOVE with her present! She has one pillow pet already but she has been dying to get the unicorn! Her eyes almost popped out of her face when she saw what was handed to her!
Jackson got a rocket launcher which has kept him busy for HOURS! I LOVE it!
I forgot to get a pic of Lexie and her present but she also ADORES it! It's a bouncy dog that she can get on and bounce all over the house in. She drags it everywhere!
Now this week we hit up the Polar Express at our local library. We rode on an imaginary train, ate cookies and hot chocolate (AGAIN), made crafts, and had one more visit with Santa. I think I love this picture the best because they're all in their pj's :)
We have had a lot of fun and the fun is just getting started! We still have school parties, our ward party, and plenty of other outings with the fam! We love Christmas time!
