End of November

November flew by and I know that we are well into December now but I couldn't go without posting any of the fun happenings that occurred at the tail end of the month. Above is a picture of me and my oldest niece Aubrey. About three weeks ago I was fortunate enough to fly out to Maryland and attend her Baptism. What a treat. I haven't seen her in three years and it was so much fun to spend time with her and the rest of my brother's family! My other niece and nephew were a hoot the entire time and it just made me wish we didn't live so far away from them. We gorged on way to much food, stayed up way too late every night, visited this awesome Christmas Tree Farm (where I wish I could have purchased every bit of Christmas Decor in sight), and went to the biggest mall I have been to since living in Chicago. Man this thing was huge. My mom and I went to explore one end of the mall and that alone was enough for us! Needless to say I had a blast and was sad to leave. Hopefully it won't be three more years before I get to spend time with them again:)
After returning home, we headed up to Idaho for Thanksgiving where all the festivities of eating tons and sleeping little continued!! I tried my hand at Black Friday and failed miserably. After standing two hours in the freezing cold just to get into Toys R Us, I had had enough. That and apparently they had ran out of everything they had on sale...way to be prepared Toys R Us!! Jared and I went out later that evening when the hustle and bustle of everything had died down and that was a lot more enjoyable. It's always nicer to shop when you can actually feel the toes on your feet:) The kids had a blast spending time with their great grandma, grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins. They did not want to come home.
But alas we are now home. I told Jared on Monday I had literally slept in my bed three nights in two weeks and I was happy to be back. I slept so well...now I think I'm just trying to catch up on all that lost sleep! Maybe in the New Year!!
