Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple

Two weeks ago Jackson, my Mom, and I had the opportunity to go through the Oquirrh Moutain Temple Open House. Originally, all the family was going to go; however, Mickey came down with Strep and thus only half of the fam went:) It was a wonderful night regardless, and it was really fun to just spend time with Jackson and my mom.

Jackson was really well behaved and it felt great to be able to answer all his questions. He loved entering all the rooms and looking at all the beautiful chandeliers. All of us just thought the temple was absolutely beautiful inside and out. When we were all done we all enjoyed the yummy temple cookies and then took some pics out front.

Jackson has always loved taking pictures, but lately he has been out of control. Anytime he sees the camera he's always asking if he can snap some pics. Most of the time I end up with random shots of people's legs, the floor, etc. But this time he decided to take pics of the flowers. This was one of his best pics of the night. Not bad, I thought, for a six year old!

Afterwards, we were all starving. We headed out to Red Robin, Jackson's choice because he was dying to use this gift certificate he got from school for doing all his reading. I willingly obliged because I LOVE Red Robin. While waiting for dinner, once again, Jackson asked for the camera. Here's the pic he took of my mom.

Here's the pic we took of us:)

The night was very special and I'm just so glad I was able to experience it with Jacks and my mom.
