Gulf Shores Alabama-August 2011 (3)

So we ran off to Gulf Shores in search of some sweet relief from the INSANE heat that was consuming Texas. Much to our chagrin, Alabama was just as hot, and MUCH MORE humid! Needless to say that whenever we decided on activities to do outside of the pool, they still involved water :)

Here we are at a little local go kart/mini golf park. We were all over the water tubes after being out for a mere hour!

Sweet Lexie was too short for the water tubes. Poor thing was sweating bullets, but as long as I kept pumping quarters into this little carousel she was happy as a clam :)
And of course we can never pass up a mini-train ride.
The great thing about this trip was no matter how hot we were these kiddos were soooo happy all the time! We got to the condo and realized we didn't have internet access and let me tell you that it was such a blessing to be unplugged and totally present with my kids all week long! We played board games, watched movies, and really enjoyed each other!

And this is seriously the expression she had the ENTIRE time we were in Alabama! Priceless :)
