100 Things About Me

I thought I'd take on this challenge after reading Lanae's blog posting. Not sure if I can actually think of 100 things about myself (memory is quite lacking while being pregnant) but here goes it:

1. I was born on Oct. 18, 1980 in El Salvador.
2. My parents moved to the United States when I was 1.
3. I have dual citizenships, one for El Salvador and one for the U.S.
4. I grew up in a city south of San Francisco - Redwood City, CA.
5. About 80% of my extended family still lives in El Salvador.
6. I have only returned to El Salvador 3 times, one of which I can remember.
7. My best friend and I have been friends since I was 11.
8. I must admit, I was a nerd growing up. My best friend and I met at Math Camp!!!
9. I have one older brother and two younger brothers.
10. I loved being the only girl in my family.
11. I graduated from high school in 1998, as one of eight Valedictorians of my class.
12. I moved out of my house when I was 17.
13. I started college at 17 - about a month after finishing high school.
14. I am still friends with all the roomates I had in college.
15. I loved college.
16. I met Jared when I was 19.
17. Prior to Jared I pretty much only ate bean and cheese burritos.
18. Jared introduced me to the world of normal food after eating burritos for 2 years of college life.
19. After meeting Jared I put on 5-10 pounds because he fed me so well:)
20. I fell in love with Jared's eyes the moment I met him.
21. I did a study abroad in Paris for 4 months about 3 months after knowing Jared.
22. I loved Paris!!
23. While in Paris I also went to Belgium and London.
24. One of my favorite desserts are Crepes!
25. I love Art and going to museums.
26. My favorite museum is the Louvre.
27. The museum I most often frequent is the Jack Wyland museum in San Francisco.
28. I am trilingual-English, Spanish, and French. However, the French is slowly slipping since I have no one to practice with.
29. Jared and I were engaged 1 week after I returned from France.
30. I was proposed to in Maine at Dimillos!! Yummy Dimillos!!
31. I was proposed to in the car since it was about 30 below in Maine when Jared decided to ask.
32. I was married at the age of 20 - 15 months after dating Jared.
33. I will be married 7 years this May.
34. Jared and I were married in the Oakland Temple.
35. I loved my wedding day.
36. One of my favorite vacation spots is Catalina Island.
37. One place I want to go to is Greece.
38. I hate to cook - doesn't mean that I can't, just means that I hate to do it.
39. I love to Bake.
40. I am spoiled because I maybe cook one night a week - Jared cooks all the other nights.
41. I graduated from BYU in Psychology with a business minor.
42. I graduated Cum Laude from BYU. I told ya I am a nerd.
43. I worked 3 jobs in high school.
44. I love to sing, even though I know I'm not very good at it. Hence why I'm in the Ward choir - a place where my voice can easily blend:)
45. People have mistaken me for being Hawaiian, Phillipino, and Native American. Ironically never for being Hispanic!!
46. I love to read, even though I probably only read about a book a month.
47. I love to shop for my children more than for myself.
48. Apparently I gave birth to my carbon copy when I had Mikaela. She looks exactly like me in all of my childhood photos.
49. I would one day love to go to grad school.
50. One of my favorite past times is to watch America's Funniest Home Videos with Jared. We laugh so hard we are pretty much crying by the end of the show.
51. The only sport I am remotely good at is swimming. Thank goodness for Jared and his athletic ability to pass on to the kids.
52. I love to watch basketball.
53. I have been parasailing.
54. I have been snorkeling.
55. I love waverunners!!
56. I cannot water ski worth beans.
57. I love anything having to do with the beach and water, can't you tell from numbers 53-56.
58. My current obsession is digital scrapbooking.
59. I hate doing laundry!!
60. I love spring cleaning.
61. I love taking photos of my kids.
62. I have never developed any digital picture I have taken since I purchased my camera back in 2003.
63. All of those digital pictures are trapped in my computer, hence my new obsession with digital scrapbooking and getting them finally printed.
64. I love watching Jared read to the kids.
65. I love it that my children have inherited a passion to read.
66. I have only dyed my hair twice in my life.
67. I hated the color pink growing up, now it's one of my favorites.
68. My favorite food is Lasagna.
69. I'll pretty much eat anything cold for breakfast.
70. The most exoctic thing I have eaten is Sting Ray.
71. I hate seafood, well except for Lobster.
72. I am 5 feet tall.
73. I loved New Kids on the Block growing up.
74. I currently work from home editing English papers.
75. I got glasses when I was 6.
76. I finally got contacts when I turned 15!!
77. I have never worn braces.
78. All four of my wisdom teetch have been removed.
79. I am always cold - ask Jared he'll attest to that one.
80. I love Tuesday Nights - they are Mikaela and Mommy nights.
81. I love reading to Jackson until I fall asleep.
82. My brothers purposely locked me out of the house multiple times when I was a kid.
83. I must admit, I did the same to them as well.
84. My favorite smell is Jared's cologne.
85. Jared is very ambitious, which is good for me because it keeps me motivated.
86. I wish my kids could have met my grandpa - I miss him often.
87. I have crazy pscyho dreams.
88. I have punched Jared in the jaw while asleep - refer to #87.
89. I love getting facials.
90. I love spas.
91. I love surprising Jared since he is the hardest person to surprise by far!!
92. I love waking up to the smell of breakfast.
93. I volunteered at a pet adoption center while in high school until I broke out in hives one day.
That day I found out I was allergic to cats.
94. I enjoy running.
95. I really enjoy walking my dog.
96. I am scared of heights.
97. I do not ride roller coasters.
98. I love music.
99. I love eating ice cream, even though most often I feel sick after consuming it.
100. I love Harley Davidson motorcycles and wish to own one someday:)
